Refunds, licence and privacy

Who you are buying from
KraiAudio is made and sold by Watcharasorn, an individual developer in Thailand. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record: they charge your card, handle VAT and sales tax for your country, and appear on your statement.
Refunds
Ask within 14 days of purchase and you get your money back, with no justification required. Email the address below from the address you bought with, or use the link in your Lemon Squeezy receipt.
Refunding stops any further activations on that order. Licence keys already issued keep working on the machines they were issued for — an offline licence cannot be recalled. Please uninstall the player.
What the licence grants
A perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the version 1 you bought, for as long as you like. Updates within version 1 are included. Whether version 2 is a paid upgrade is not decided yet.
A licence activates one computer — two for KraiAudio for Windows, because Windows treats a reinstalled system as a different computer. There is no limit on how often you move it: deactivate the player on the computer you are leaving and activate the next one with the same licence key. Do that before you part with a computer. Once you no longer have it, the licence can only be freed by emailing me, because a licence key on its own must not be enough for a stranger to take your licence away from you.
The player checks its licence on your computer and never asks us again, so a computer that was activated keeps working whatever happens here — and equally, deactivating is something you do on that computer.
The two players are sold separately and a licence covers one of them. KraiAudio for Windows is not on sale yet; while it is a free preview no licence is needed and none of this applies to it.
You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the software or your licence key, or attempt to defeat the licence check.
The software is provided as is, without warranty. To the extent the law allows, liability is limited to what you paid.
Privacy
The player does not phone home. It contains no analytics, no telemetry, and no crash reporting, and after activation it works with no network at all. Your library and listening stay on your computer.
Buying and activating involves exactly this data:
- Your email address and order details, held by Lemon Squeezy and by me, so I can deliver your key and provide support.
- A one-way hash of your licence key. The key itself is only in your inbox.
- A machine code: a one-way hash derived from an identifier your operating system already holds — the hardware UUID on macOS, the installation GUID on Windows. It cannot be reversed into your name, hardware, or location, and is used only to bind a licence to a computer and count activations.
That data is stored on Supabase and Cloudflare and is never sold or shared for marketing. Email me to have your records deleted; note that deleting them means I can no longer re-issue a lost key.
